Wave API Providence issue

I have an automation set up with Zapier from one SaaS to Wave. The purpose is when I create a customer in another app I need it to transfer the new customer to Wave and add a customer there also. I have found the issue and workaround however this needs to be looked at closer on Wave's end.
The state or "Providence" has to be keyed in on my primary as a full state name and all lowercase.
Normally I would enter something like
City: Oklahoma City
State: OK
but in order to get it to transfer to Wave, I have to enter
City: Oklahoma City
State: oklahoma
OR even better yet, if I am trying to enter someone from Washington DC
Normally I would enter
City: Washington
State: DC
but in order to get this to transfer, I have to enter
City: Washington
State: district-of-columbia
It would be nice if the API Zapier team could look into this and figure out a way to transfer State Abbreviations or properly formatted full state names so BOTH applications have the State displayed correctly.
