Adding GST to Journal Transactions

Can you please advise how I add GST to the amount I am entering into a journal transaction please?

Hey @Just_Jane , yo ucan't add a tax to a journal transaction in the way you would on a regular transaction. What exactly is the situation you're trying to account for as there may be an easier to handle this with a regular transaction.

Hi I have mistakenly set up the wave account for GST as not recoverable, is there any way to go back and change this without recreating everything?

Hey @Curious , I'm afraid the recoverability of a tax can't be changed after it's been created so you will have to create a new tax. To save you some time, you can bulk change the sales tax on transactions by selecting a number of transactions with the check box to the left of it and selecting Edit at the top of the page. You'll see a drop down that allows you to change the sales tax all at once.
