Vendor not showing up on Purchases by Vendor listing

I uploaded some receipts to Wave for 2020 and I see them in under Purchases Receipts with the correct Merchange name (ex: Amazon & GoDaddy) but when I run the purchases by Vendor report they are not showing on the list. Any ideas why that might be?

    Hey @MagicLampConsulting !

    The merchant names you manually punch in when uploading a receipt are simply just that. They don't have a saved history to track in your Purchases by Vendor report like the other vendors you saved under Purchases > Vendors.

    To further clarify, the difference between the two is, a vendor is someone/place who bills you either on a one off/regularly bases and requires you to create a bill to pay that to recognize the liability in your books. The Merchant you enter on your receipts is simply the name of the person/place where the goods were purchased.
