Credit card error has locked transaction making it undeletable

Wave has accepted a credit card payment then blocked it because of a card issue. Now it has locked the invoice and the 'Paid by wave' transaction making it impossible for us to delete either of these and thus listing a transaction that has not actually been completed.
Does anyone know how it is possible to overcome this and delete the unpaid invoice that the system is refusing to yield.

In this case, you will need to write off your invoice.
If you were paid on an invoice via Wave Payments/Stripe and then a refund was issued, you'll find that the invoice can't be deleted. This is for two reasons:
as your payment processor, this is a record of the payment that occurred, and since real funds were moved on the invoice, this record is a requirement
this is the most accurate picture of your business: since funds really did come into your business and then go out, keeping a record of this means greater accuracy on your business' performance.
