Payroll day set up

I am trying to set up payroll and we are brand new to wave, previously using quickbooks. Our employees are currently paid every other week, pay dates are on weds. If we remain on the current schedule our paydates fall on the 13th and 27th of january (there were a few days in december of last year in this pay period). Set up is not allowing me to start before january. Is anyone else ran into this problem?

    Hey @JaimeinOR !

    After taking a closer look at your payroll profile on the back end, I can see that you have direct deposits enabled. To clarify, you can't approve and run a past payroll with direct deposits enabled since you need to approve direct deposit invoices 3 business days in advance (click here to learn more). To approve past payrolls in Wave, you will need to do this manually with direct deposits disabled. You can disable direct deposits by heading over to Payroll > Employees > the employee(s) in question > Direct Deposit > Not right now.
