how to set a sales price

i have recently started using wave and im not seeing an option to set a sales price on my purchased items for resale. there is the option to use item for both sales and purchases but not an option for the price variation. and if i create a new item for the same product, will the program record the COGS in the income statement. can anyone assist me with this?

Hey @britney !

It sounds like you are trying to record new Cost of Goods Sold expense accounts. You can do so by heading over to your Accounting > Chart of Accounts page and pressing Add a new account in the top right corner. Then, you can create your products and services and add them as item lines on your invoices. All of your income and expenses, including your cost of goods sold expenses will be included on your Profit and Loss report along with other reports.
