New Auto Cat: can it be disabled?

Coming soon: Automatic categorization of transactions You want Wave to automate repetitive tasks, but you also want control over your bookkeeping. We hear you! We’re planning to roll out a new feature that will notify you about automatically categorized transactions so you can review them.

I've disabled my bank ingest and am looking a different accounting alternative this year due to not being able to turn off auto cat. Bank data auto ingest is an important feature but regrettably comes tied to auto cat. Does anyone who monitors this discussion know if the new auto cat will have an on/off switch?
