I'm hoping someone can help me in determining how to account for tax withholding. Are Federal, state, and payroll taxes in the US accounted for as a liability? If yes, how do I show that the liability has been paid? Thank you for any help!

I do not use bills. I simply make payments to my vendors/contractors and verify the transactions imported later. Now the "Line 7" box in the 1099-Misc Form preview shows "0", and from what I understood I have to create bills and mark them paid to have this field properly reflecting what was paid to the vendors/contractors. Is t…

Hi there, I have one contractor I paid less than $2k to, over 3 payments in 2019. I used Venmo as that's what we agreed. I have no employees and one contractor. Now I need to generate my 1099 for her, so I've upgraded to a paid Wave account with Payroll. I've marked the 3 payments as Gross Payroll, and allocated the payment source as my Biz Checki…

I am using Wave Payroll for my Ontario-based Canadian corporation. All of our employees are paid salary, on a monthly basis. The annual salary for each employee is entered under "Salary" in the Payroll section. The salary amounts are entered as annual amounts -- not an hourly rate. There is a required field, "Average Hours per week…

I have contractors that I pay by creating a 'bill' from a 'vendor' in Wave. In this bill, I report what I owe to the contractor for services rendered, and I also report and reimbursements I need to pay out to that contractor for instances where, for example, the contractor had to get something from Home Depot on my behalf but he used his personal …

since IRS does not recognize taxes being paid by LLC the salary paid to the Officer would result in overpayment of all payroll taxes and they would have to be adjusted at year end or as soon as adjustments can be made within the same period before the monthly or quarterly payroll taxes payments are made, right?

We started on wave payroll midway through the year. Despite importing our previous months numbers before starting our first payroll on wave, it seems like wave payroll doesn't adjust for changes to salaries correctly going forward. It merely calculates the monthly totals for new salary figures as if it were salary/12. Support has confirmed this.…

We're wanting to track time of our employees, but we're not doing payroll just yet (we all have other jobs... this is a new venture that no one is currently getting paid for).
