Hi, I'm new to wave and unsure of how to pay my self? I have two bank accounts, Business and personal and i will be paying my wage out of the Business Acc into my personal Acc, how would I go about doing this? Many Thanks Chris

I'm using payroll though Wave. How can I set the expense accounts so that I can segregate between those employees whose pay I want to record as direct labor (i.e impacting gross profit) versus other employees, myself included. whose salary I want to include as a wages?

I have just reinstated wave and my employee after being on maternity leave. I am trying to approve the payroll (due tomorrow) but it defaults to 1.5 years ago when I stopped using my account its picking up where I left off. Its really frustrating and I cant figure out how to change my payroll dates to the more recent one.

I'm trying to run my first payroll, but the one employee (me) doesn't show up in payroll. Message is that I have to add an employee in order to run payroll. The payroll dates are July 3 - 31. Payday is today, August 9. Employee's salary is active since July 1. I've checked setting several times, but I'm must be missing something.

We are a seasonal lawn care business with only 1 or 2 employees and we are only in operation about 6 months of the year. Would we have to pay for the payroll service during the months we aren't in operation, or could we pay month by month during the months we need it?

I have read all the other 401k posts available - BUT how does one move the payroll money to the correct account for Employee Contributions? I have added the Deduction to the Employee Record ($ every pay cycle), but not sure what's going to happen next and how to actually acquire the funds to move them.

I have followed instructions trying to change the Federal Tax Allowances on the Federal Tax Details screen. Each time I make the change and save, it reverts back to the previously saved entry. I would like to update this asap before running my next payroll. Please advise.
