In the old Transactions page, I was able to enter a negative value when splitting a withdrawal while reconciling a statement from a supplier. IE. a credit for a returned item. I don't seem to be able to do that on the new Transactions page.

I have been looking at Wave for a few days but there is a capability missing that is a deal-breaker for me and (I think) should be basic. The accounting system should be able to import/export/process/delete batch, large number of transactions easily. It seems this is impossible with Wave. Am I (hopefully) missing something?

When I want to split my transaction into sub categories, the split amount is not showing up anywhere and so when I work it out on my calculator and try to insert it, will not allow me to put in a decimal point. If you have a personal purchase on your business credit card or in your business bank account, how do you reconcile without having it impact your income statement? I mark the transactions as Personal in the description and treat them as a withdrawal in Owner investment/drawings... is that enough?

I really thought initially that Wave would be a genuine alternative to quickbooks.....however "can't / won't print checks"...... sorry that throws wave into a sub category of accounting software...... really, come on.... disbursements are still provided via company checks, once the heartbeat of any company..... I'm out !!!

Since Wave has updated I see we now have to assign the sales tax click UPDATE and click SAVE. Did not realise this until it was too late and had assigned taxes only to not have them autosave. Huge pain. Once it's assigned it should not need a second step to save it.
