I had been experiencing problems with the old banking integration system with Santander bank in late 2018. I just got the notice that my account has been updated and that I needed to reconnect my Santander bank account. Upon trying to do so, though, it looks like only PERSONAL Santander accounts are supported. Business banking requires a differ…

We purchased a property for retail space. Included in the "amounts paid by/for borrower" is a portion of the annual property taxes. These taxes are listed as adjustments for items unpaid by the seller on the closing Settlement Statement. They did not come out of the downpayment and we did not write a separate check, so there is no acc…

I am doing accounting (but not an accountant) for a non profit that purchases prepaid gift cards at a 5% discount and sells them at face value. I want to keep this income separate from other income as all the profit goes to support a Children's Village in Madagascar. I have an asset account for Card Inventory, an income account for Card Sales, a…

I added a bill for a payment to Home Depot for new appliances. It looks like I cannot add those appliances to my Property charge of accounts... only for expenses? So do I need to manually enter a journal transaction any time I buy something that needs to be capitalized?

What is the correct accounting procedure for goods purchased for a client and charge a service fee? For example, I purchase $1000 worth of products for a client and I charge a fee for doing so. Say $200. The client must then pay me for the cost of the products plus my service fee.

Hi everyone, grateful if you can advise on this based on your experience: we registered a 2 partners LLC in DE in Oct 2019 which is treated as a Partnership by the IRS for Tax purposes. the LLC didn't receive any income in 2019 apart from few start-up costs that we have incurred (about USD400). I am quoting this from the IRS website: "Except …

This appears to have been asked by others, but the answers don't seem to make sense in my case - possibly my own lack of understanding. I use direct deposit for payroll. There is a Journal entry created for the full amount of the payroll (taxes, net pay, etc.). There is also an entry that is a withdrawal from the checking account that is cate…

Hoping someone can clarify for me...... Payments received via wave into the Payments by Wave account do not seem to appear in the cashflow as an inflow.... They are however showing in profit .. So thinking as I do not link my bank accounts I may need to create a transfer to the appropriate chart of accounts account showing that Stripe as cleared…

I'm using wave to collect club fees and need to be able to add 3 different 'products' to each invoice. I've set up all of the customers and uploaded them, but not sure how I add the 3 products in Google Sheets. I've tried duplicating the item name column (didn't work - just get the 3 dots when validating) and also using 3 separate rows under the …

Good day to you! Any new developments on the statement printing for clients~ or a way to suggest to clients a way around it. Is there a way to unlink the invoices and have a PDF of the statement? I know you are focusing on clients who are totally computer orientated- but there must be a way to placate non-techie clients?

I'm currently having a problem with the cashflow statement in Wave: The total cash inflow reported on the cashflow statement seems to be inaccurate as it is not equal to the sum of each cash inflow (which is also reported separately on the cashflow statement). Below is the cashflow report that I'm struggling with. It's quite odd for things to go w…

These tips may be redundant but, because they persist, they bear mentioning: 1) Generate a business plan. You may know what you want but if you can't put pen-to-paper and articulate it.... how good is your idea. 2) Start small - start as a proprietorship. You do not need to incorporate right away. 3) Most people who incorporate online forget the s…
